MIDGET AAA LOOK FOR HOME WINS
The Grande Peace Athletic Club Ernie’s Sports Experts Storm have had some early success in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League and they will be looking to improve on that at home this weekend.
The Ernie’s Club hosts the Okotoks Oilers at 2 p.m. Saturday and the Edmonton KC Pats on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in games in the Crosslink County Sportsplex in Clairmont.
They are fifth in the Dodge Division heading into the weekend with three wins, two losses and a tie in their first five games.
The GPAC weekend of games starts Friday when the Dreger Racing Team Storm host the Peace River Sabres at 7:30 p.m. in Clairmont. DRT is second in the Black Division of the Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League with a win and two losses.
After splitting a pair of games last weekend against the Airdrie Xtreme with a win then a loss, the Golden Arrow Storm will be looking to get some momentum back on the road.
They are at the PAC Saints Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and then visit the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
The GA team has a win in six games and sit fourth in the Charger North Division of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League.
The Peace Directional Drilling Storm of the Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League are on the road for a pair.
They visit Edmonton CAC on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. and then remain in the Capital City for a game with the KC Colts at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
PDR is looking for its first win after starting the season with four losses and a tie.
Hitch ‘Em Oilfield Hauling (02-1) is also looking for its first W in the ERBAAHL when they host the Fort McMurray Barons in a pair - Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. in Clairmont.
The Boston Pizza U16 Storm are idle this weekend.
