Grande Peace Athletic Club teams won three, lost three and tied one in league play on the weekend.
Two of those wins came of the sticks of the Ernie's Sports Experts Storm AAA club in Alberta Midget Hockey League play in Calgary.
They started the weekend with a 4-2 win over the Flames Saturday and then followed it up with the weekend sweep against the North Stars in the southern Alberta city.
Edge Lambert led the scoring parade with a goal in each game while on Saturday Jayden Watson, Nolan Flint and Kail Magnusson scored while on Sunday Mason Hartman and Sheldon Kwiatkowski netted goals along with Lambert.
Cameron Beson was in net Saturday making 36 saves for the Storm while McCoy Bidewell tended the twine on Sunday and turned aside 39.
The other GPAC weekend win came Sunday when the U16 Storm defeated Edmonton CAC 4-2 in the Capital City in Alberta Minor Midget AAA League play.
Alex Lopez, Ethan Boucher, Chase Jonson and Tye Evans scored for GP in the win while Terris Lappenbush made 36 stops in the GP net.
On Saturday in Edmonton the U16 club took on MLAC and fell 3-2.
Jonzon and Landon Hedges scored in that game while Lappenbush made 28 stops.
The Fort McMurray Barons met the two GPAC Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League teams - Dreger Racing Team Storm and Hitch Èm Oilfield Hauling Storm - in games in the Coke Can and they went home with a win and tie.
The tie came Sunday in a 4-4 game against Hitch Èm.
William Ray, Jaxon Boucher, Devon Barclay and Morgan Bradly scored for the Storm in that game while Brennan Horcoff made 41 saves in net.
On Saturday the Dreger Storm, with 34 saves from Derek Sparks, fell 3-0 to Fort Mac.
In a Northern Alberta Midget AA League game on Saturday the Peace River Royals downed the GPAC Peaceland Directional Drilling Storm 4-1 in Clairmont.
Keaton Mercredi had the GP goal while Rylan Labrie made 42 stops in net.
The GPAC Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm were in a tournament in Chilliwack, B.C. on the weekend.
