BUSY WEEKEND FOR GPAC TEAMS

Hockey fans in Grande Prairie looking for a little fix this weekend will have a choice of games to enjoy.

There are four games on the menu for Grande Peace Athletic Club teams starting Friday at the Coca-Cola Centre.

The GPAC Hitch 'Em Oilfield Hauling Storm start the weekend parade to the arena with a game against the Peace River Sabres at 7:15 Friday.

It's the Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League season-opener for Hitch 'Em.

The other GPAC club, Dreger Racing Team, opens its RBAAHL season with a game in Peace River against the Sabres on Sunday at 12:15 p.m.

Also Saturday, the GPAC Ernie's Sports Experts Midget AAA Storm open their Alberta Midget Hockey League season hosting the Lloydminster Bobcats at 2:30 p.m. in the Coke Centre. The next day, at 1:15 p.m., the Ernie's team is in St. Albert to take on the Raiders.

The GPAC Boston Pizza Storm opener their Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League season with a pair of games against the St. Albert Flyers at the Crosslink County Sportsplex in Clairmont - 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

After a tough start to their season last weekend, a pair of losses to the Lloydminster Bobcats, the GPAC Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm are in Edmonton Saturday and Leduc Sunday in Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League play.

In Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League play the GPAC Peaceland Directional Drilling Storm play the Panthers in Lakeland on Saturday and the Polar Kings in Wainwright on Sunday.
