U16 Storm Earn Tie With Chiefs

The Boston Pizza U16 Storm tied the Red Deer North Star Chiefs in both of their games over the weekend at the Crosslink County Sportsplex.

Austyn Hansen scored the Storm’s two goals and goaltender McCoy Bidewell made 32 saves in a 2-2 tie Saturday.

On Sunday, the two teams tied 2-2 again. Ty Toews and Jace Grant scored for the Storm. Bidewell turned aside 26 shots.

The Storm host the KC Centennials this weekend at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Ernie’s Sports Experts Midget AAA Storm

The Storm finished with a loss and tie on their weekend road trip.

Forward Carter Massier scored all three goals Saturday in a 4-3 loss against the Calgary Royals. Storm goaltender Ty Grant made 30 saves.

Sunday, Kaden Reinders and Tristyn Corliss scored in a 2-2 tie against the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs. Lars Kaliel was busy in net for the Storm making 57 saves.

The Storm play the Lloydminster Bandit Energy Bobcats and Lethbridge Midget AAA Hurricanes this weekend.

Peaceland Directional Drilling Midget AA Storm

In their lone game over the weekend, the Storm fell 4-2 against the Sherwood Park Oilers at the County Sportsplex.

Clint Lefley and Benjamin Schmidt scored for the Storm. Goaltender Carson Gnam made 31 saves in Friday’s game.

This weekend, the Storm travel to play the Strathcona ACT Warriors and PAC Saints.

Global Bus Lines Bantam AAA Storm

The Storm combined for 17 goals in their two weekend home games against the Lloydminster Bobcats.

Jayden Watson, Tyler Buchberger, Landon Hedges, Chase Jonzon, Hayden Smith and Devin Martin scored Saturday in a 6-0 victory. Goaltender Terris Lappenbush stopped all 21 shots.

Sunday, Codie Saunders had a hat trick and Jayden Watson netted a pair of goals en route to an 11-3 win. Dayne Tews, Chase Jonzon, Wyatt Day, Ethan Boutcher,

Trayton Banner and Hayden Smith also scored. Eric Schultz earned the win in net with 16 saves.

This weekend, the Storm travel to play the PAC Saints and Sherwood Park Flyers.

Hitch’em Oilfield Hauling Bantam AA Storm

In their lone weekend game, the Storm fell 6-3 against the Whitecourt TRAC Wolves on Sunday at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Mason Kyllo, Tyler Herron and Tanner Nyland scored for the Storm. Goaltender Tye Georgeson made 20 saves.

The Storm host the Dawson Creek Canucks on Nov. 5 at the County Sportsplex.
