A pair of wins over the Camrose Red Wings has the Grande Peace Athletic Club Global Bus Lines Storm Bantam AAA team at the top of the standings in the Charger North Division of the Alberta Bantam Hockey League.

Global defeated Camrose 8-1 on Saturday and 4-2 on Sunday in games in Clairmont.

On Saturday Jayden Watson and Kjelt Sandboe had two goals each on Saturday while goaltender Terris Lappenbush faced 30 shots in net for Global. On Sunday Watson, Chase Jonzon, Landon Hedges and Hayden Smith had goals while netminder Eric Schultz faced 22 shots.

The team has four wins in six games to start the season.

In Bantam AA play the GPAC Grande Prairie Hitch 'Em Oilfield Hauling Storm played once, on Friday, and downed the visiting Sherwood Park Leafs 8-4.

Jayden Gordey had three goals and Tye Evans a single in that game.

The Hitch 'Em team, which finished off the weekend with some team bonding at Muskoseepi Park (photo above), are in second place in their division in the Edmonton Rural Alberta Bantam AA Hockey League with three wins in three games.

The GPAC Ernie's Sports Experts Midget AAA Storm didn't win, but they didn't lose in Alberta Midget Hockey League play after battling the Calgary Royals to a 1-1 draw in Clairmont on Saturday.

They are in fifth place in the Dodge Division of the AMHL with two losses and two ties.

In Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League action Nolan Flint had a pair of goals as the GPAC Boston Pizza U16 team fell 4-2 to the Lloydminster Bobcats on the weekend. The BP team is 0-3 in the North Division.

GPAC's Peaceland Direction Drilling Midget AA Storm suffered a 7-0 loss to St. Albert in Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League action. Peaceland is 0-2 in Bouchier Division play this year so far.
